FNIGE Protagonist at IeSF EURO Conference 2010!
03/08/10

FNIGE has accomplished another major step towards creating a solid and recognized base for the National eSport. From Thursday the 8th of July until the 10th of July a FNIGE delegation flew to Germany to present themselves to the European members of leSF International eSports Federation during the lesf Euro 2010 Conference, held internally for the Online Games Convention 2010 at Lipsia, one of the major worldwide fairs regarding entertainment.

IeSF started in 2008 in South Korea, as the International Federation for the growth, acceptance and innovation of eSport  combining the power and experience of different organizations and national sports associations (of which KeSPA, Korea eSports Association currently the largest association in the world on eSport) trying to create an international standard for the Electronic Sport. The IeSF EURO Conference represented therefore for FNIGE the ideal place to present itself to the Secretary General of IeSF, Wonsuk Oh, of which the President of FNIGE, Sebastiano Silluzio, had a long private meeting together with members of the European IeSF, discussing the situation of the Italian worldwide eSports.

The conference was attended by the Presidents and delegations of South Korea, Germany, Netherlands, Norway, Denmark, Switzerland, Portugal, Spain, Romania and many others, testimony of the importance of  the eSport international movement. The only thing missing now are the officials, but everything is ready and FNIGE is preparing itself to finally launch the Italian eSport at an international level. The Worldwide IeSF Congress will be held in South Korea in October, inside the leSF Grand Final of which FNIGE will manage the Italian Qualification with a big stop in Italy in September.

Just a small taste, after the Italian participation at the Hyundai Global Championships of the 24th of July, which was Valentino "Key Vale" La Favoci engaged on the fields of FIFA Online2, result of what a close collaboration between FNIGE and IeSF can bring to the Italian eSport, never in its history so close to a reality on a worldwide basis and never so realistically in the running for a place as protagonist  in future eSport.

900km, from  Milan to Lipsia, covered by FNIGE together with their Italian players. All united for the Italian eSport.
