Everything ready for Grosseto Videogames Festival

The 22nd and 23rd May 2010, in the presence of the Major, the Prefect, the president of F.N.I.G.E. (Italian Electronic Sport Federation) Sebastiano Silluzio and the authorities of Grosseto city, will be inaugurated, in the Sporting Center TCE located in via Bulgaria 39, the "Grosseto Videogames Festival", a charity event to help the research for the Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) organized by the Sporting Association ITNS and the first sporting event officialy hosted and sponsored by F.N.I.G.E..

 

The event, supported officialy by Microsoft Italy, will be an huge occasion for every avid athlete of the Electronic Sport to compete on the virtual fields of FIFA 10, Modern Warfare 2 and Guitar Hero 5 on Xbox 360, for two days in the name of sport’s and social values. Part of the cash will be given to the Association of Families SMA, ONLUS created in 2001 by a group of parents who have children affected by Spinal Muscular Atrophy that decided to share their experiences, to the purpose of contribuiting for a better information about the disease, stimulating the research and making the Association a referential group for doctors, researchers and families who live every day with this disease.
 

 

The “Grosseto Videogames Festival” proposes itself as a true 360° event, thanks to the coverage by one of the referential televisions in Tuscany, the Maremma Channel (channel 914 on Sky) and to the presence of important guests like the band “Senza Respiro”.
